Chanelle Staude, an accomplished artist from East London, South Africa, has dedicated over 35 years to her craft. Graduating Cum Laude with a BFA from Rhodes University in 1992, she received the Purvis Prize for Best Art Student. Staude's artistic expertise shines through her impressionistic landscapes, predominantly executed in oil impasto techniques. Her works have earned acclaim in private collections across England, Australia, Germany, and the United States. Staude's influence extends to the local art scene, with participation in numerous group exhibitions and an impressive 37 solo exhibitions, including 25 showcases at the renowned National Arts Festival. An experienced framer, she has supported her community through her framing skills. Staude has further enriched the Eastern Cape art community as a Visual Arts teacher at DSG and St Andrew’s College, recently becoming Head of the Cornish Visual Arts Centre. Her artistic and teaching endeavors continue to inspire creativity and resilience.
